Kind of. Today I officially listed my first biker hats. I’m really excited and have already sold several to people in the bike community here. Bright colours on the noggin make everyone happy right?

My hats are available in “one size fits all.” Made with repurposed cotton (save the planet!) and a soft bill for comfort and pocket-stuffing. Elastic in the band holds it secure around your noggin as you zoom down the streets in style… With a helmet of course.

I like to think that everyone’s life is divided into little chapters. Each chapter has its own story, its own feel. Somewhere along yesterday or today my life hit a new chapter.
Nothing terribly exciting happened, just something happened. Something changed. My life will be changing in some way or another, shortly.
Everything feels surreal and I’ve been constantly approached by strangers, drug addicts, crazies, etc etc etc over the past day. Each and every one has something to say. My favourite was a Rastafarian, he wanted to show me his art that he was selling. I told him I had no money, but he said,
Art isn’t about money, it’s about communication, a common ground, the sharing of beauty and ideas in the world.
Isn’t that beautiful?
Now along the lines of things less abstract, my apartment lease is finally coming to an end at this horribly infamous complex and J and I are looking for a new place downtown. -A whole adventure in its own.
We’re looking for a small place because J is switching to active duty as a nuclear engineer and he will be in South Carolina for six months before I can join him. Meaning I will be all by my lonesome with two felines in a studio/one bedroom. Heck yes.
Which means I have between six months and a year to get all the Portland I can get.
Meanwhile… I have a surprise for you tomorrow night.
Stay tuned.

Seven is my unlucky number. Ask anyone.
Thankfully, this unluckily numbered post will be graced with photos of naked ladies.
A version of the Naked Lady Wallet for the light packer:
Naked Lady Wallet Lite
The “Lite” wallet includes two card slots for the light packer.
Creative, no?

We arrived safely back from our honeymoon early this morning, and I’m already busy making things. I’m slowly learning about networks and local art shows. You should be proud!
Also: Presenting The Naked Lady Wallets.
(for those 18 and over)

The wallets are new to the net shop. They’re super duper durable boobilicious money holders. The ones pictured are tri-folds with card holders. -Made with breasts, the environment, and durability in mind.
They are all one-of-a-kind. Meaning… No one else will hold their dollar bills next to the same naked lady as you. Ever.
These wallets are made with recycled adult magazines and super duper invisi-tape in my smoke-free shoe-box.
Each wallet features an individual lady on the outside. The inside photos (which are a bit more risque) will definitely keep your business cards, credit cards, and personal photos snug and toasty warm.
I’m thinking of making simplified ones as well, shortly.
More will be available tomorrow.

The past few weeks our (my new husband and I) focus has been on the wedding.
Finally, as of 1:30 yesterday afternoon we’re hitched.
We will be vacationing in a fabulous little cabin on the beach until the 6th.

(…Oh Major Sevenths…)
Has it really been that long since I’ve written? Wow, I suppose it has.
I’ve been busy busy busy here in Portland. Preparing for the wedding, starting my new job, experiencing life and all that jazz. I have quite a few projects in the making that aren’t quite ready for the public eye.
My recent creation as been this hat:
It was more of a boredom piece/hair cover than anything else. -Nothing I ever planned on selling. But it’s sold more than anything else I’ve made. I’ve made three this week upon the request of people I’ve met on the street… and never got the chance to photograph them. Which honestly, is way exciting. I’m in the process of making one for “the store” right now.
I think my goal right now needs to be photographing EVERYTHING I make… So when I refer passersby to the shop there is something relatively similar in there to what they saw on my noggin that they liked so much. Ya heard?

I know I said I’d have gloves shortly but between my two new jobs (yay!) and art lessons (more on that later) I’ve only really had time to do that hatitty-hat hat dealio.

I’m actually in the middle of a lace hat, it’s looking like it should turn out pretty well… What have you been making?
